Summer Fun in Metro Detroit

This summer has truly turned out to be one full of opportunities and excitement!

As we near the fourth of July holiday here are some cool things that have happened and that you can look forward too!

The Detroit Zoo

  • Summer camps are in full swing at the Detroit Zoo, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take part in the action. Every Wednesday night the Zoo hosts a “Music in the Zoo” night where families and children can come out to enjoy the animals and some live music in a family friendly atmosphere! Check it out by clicking HERE.

Cranbrook Institute of Science

  • Are dinosaurs your thing? Then check out the newest traveling exhibit at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, MI. They are currently hosting an enormous T-Rex in their exhibit entitled “Dinosaurs – The Lost World.” You can find out more details by clicking HERE.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra

  • If music is your thing then check out the DSO at http://www.dso.org! They have many events including a free concert tomorrow night at Orchestra Hall near Wayne State University. They will also be performing at local venues in and around Metropolitan Detroit for their “Summer in the Neighborhood” concert series.  They have a great line up planned so don’t miss out!

Corner Book Stores

  • Finally if your looking for something small and local check out your local used book store, sometimes they will surprise you! For instance at “The Book Connection” in Livonia they recently had a Michigan Author present (P.J. Parish) to talk about her michigan mysteries book series.
